France considers preparing for war with Russia

The Commander of the French Air Force, Dominique Tardif, has said that the country’s air force needs to be prepared for a potential conflict with the Russian Federation. He made the statement in an interview with the online newspaper Politico.

,,It is quite likely that Moscow will test NATO’s strength between 2028 and 2029’’, the commander said, referring to warnings from other military officials. He explained that French pilots could be ,,on the front lines from day one’’ if problems arise on the eastern flank of the North Atlantic Alliance.

Tardif added that the Baltic states do not have their own fighter jets, and Romania’s capabilities are limited. Therefore, Western European countries, especially France, must be prepared for what the Chief of the French Defense Staff, Fabien Mandon, called a ,,shock’’.

On February 24 this year, France and Britain were accused by Russia of preparing to arm Ukraine with a nuclear bomb and disguise its transfer as an independent Ukrainian development.

,,They are hoping in vain to avoid responsibility. Especially since everything that is a sensitive subject comes to light’’, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service said.

The two Western states have denied such accusations. So far, no public evidence has been presented to support the claims made by the Kremlin regime.

The statements certainly came against the backdrop of the protracted conflict between Russia and Ukraine and the constant support offered to Kiev by Western Europeans.
