Donald Trump’s predictions on the conflict in Ukraine
US President Donald Trump said that it is possible that the war in Ukraine will end before the end of his presidential term. He made this statement in an interview with Fox News.
,,I’m sure it will. Every war has an end and it’s not as far away as we think’’, Trump said, answering a question about the possibility of the conflict ending by 2029.
The head of the White House admitted that he was convinced that the outcome could come earlier, since he gets along well with Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
,,Moscow is ready to sign an agreement on a peaceful settlement soon. I think he is ready to reach a compromise’’, Trump added, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin. ,,Obviously, ,,it takes two to dance tango, but we remain optimistic’’.
On July 14 this year, the American leader showed his willingness to support the adoption by the US Congress of a new package of sanctions against Russia, initiated by former Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who died three days earlier of cardiovascular problems.
The sanctions package would allow the White House to impose high tariffs on imports from countries that buy natural gas, oil and uranium from Russia. The package aims to further weaken Moscow, in order to push the Kremlin regime towards a peace agreement with Ukraine as soon as possible.
