Medvedev assessed the possibility of recreating the Soviet Union
Dmitri Medvedev, the vice-president of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, said on March 4 this year during the ,,Knowledge. First’’ marathon, attended by over 100 lecturers and public figures from Russia, Serbia, India and other countries, that the Soviet Union cannot be revived in its former form.
,,I was born, grew up, studied and developed in the Soviet Union. I owe it so much. But we understand that it is impossible to step into the same water twice and bring back the USSR as it was’’, Medvedev said.
He believes that Russia must act in the direction it has ,,already chosen’’.
According to him, the Soviet Union was a worthy heir of the Russian Empire, which was created through the work of dozens of generations together with its ,,integral parts’’.
We remind you recently in Russia it was proposed to introduce an analogue of the pioneer tie in the school uniform.
In November 2023, the deputy of the State Duma from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Yuri Afonin, declared that his party supports the idea of reviving the ideology.
,,Such an idea must be expressed more often in the public space. Without a reliable ideological base, we will not be able to withstand and win the war waged by the West against us. At the same time, creating an ideology without relying on the experience of the Soviet times is doomed to failure’’, Afonin said on his Telegram page.
We note that the current leadership of the Kremlin wants to create the impression that Russia represents a distinct entity from the Soviet Union, but its actions only reproduce the ideology of the former USSR: the liquidation of opposition to the regime, the absence of respect for fundamental human rights and the continuous fight against the ,,Nazi enemies’’.
