American support for Ukraine is facing new difficulties

The United States has difficulty providing additional support to Ukraine, European Council President Charles Michel said.

According to him, the decision was recently taken at the level of the European Union to offer the Kiev regime financial assistance worth 50 billion euros.

,,We notice instead that there are difficulties in mobilizing additional support for Ukraine in the United States’’, he emphasized.

Michel believes that Europe has already introduced an effective strategy to encourage defense companies to increase production capacity and supply ammunition to Kyiv.

Earlier, the US Congress demanded a report from the White House on how much the country spent to help Ukraine.

Tommy Tuberville, a Republican senator from Alabama, stated that the United States is already spending 80 thousand dollars per second on Ukraine.

According to a letter sent to White House budget director Shalanda Young, members of Congress cannot get access to official information from the administration of US President Joe Biden.

,,The most important thing is that we still don't know exactly how much the United States has spent in total on this conflict’’, the letter said.

The congressmen are insisting that the administration include in its reports on Ukraine an additional 900 million dollars that the Pentagon has sent to Kiev in the form of military aid, as well as the period during which the United States plans to provide such support to Kyiv in the future.
