Europe announces predictions of Russian capture of Kharkov

European military expert Jacob Parakilas said that the Russian Federation could take Kharkiv in a few months, the information was reported by the American news magazine Newsweek.

According to the analyst, Russia has an advantage over Ukraine in conducting offensive actions. Due to Kharkiv’s geographical proximity to the Russian border, Moscow will be able to sustain the offensive and ultimately ,,take control of the city within months’’.

Parakilas pointed out that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are now ,,weaker than last year’’.

For his part, the head of the Estonian General Staff, Major General Enno Mits, said that Russia is capable of occupying Kharkiv ,,with one blow’’, but the main question is whether the Russians will manage to maintain the occupation of the city.

Mits noted that the Russian military is trying to expand the front line to force Ukraine to stretch its defense resources, thereby thinning them.

,,Russia can go through the city in one go, but it will need more troops to hold it’’, he said.

He added that the Russian military is now deliberately taking advantage of Ukraine’s lack of air defense capabilities and striking critical infrastructure, waging a war of attrition, including against the West collectively to fragment the unity of Kiev’s allies and reduce their resources.

Earlier, the Kharkiv region announced the mandatory evacuation of families with children from 47 localities. This was announced by the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Sinegubov.
