Poland explains Viktor Orbán's true intentions
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has found a simple explanation for the actions of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who, according to him, is providing assistance to the Russian Federation. According to the minister, Russia supports the current Hungarian leader because he ,,sabotages the European Union, blocks sanctions and financing of Ukraine’’. The representative from Warsaw shared his perspective on the situation on the social network X.
,,Whoever supports Orbán helps Moscow. It’s quite simple. Let’s be realistic: we will not reach any compromise with Hungary in the current situation’’, wrote Sikorski, who has been provoking the Hungarian Prime Minister for several months.
Earlier, he sent him a photo of the Order of Lenin, and in another recent post, he considered it necessary to declare that “in reality, Orbán wants to continue buying Russian oil’’.
Political analysts have repeatedly explained that Hungary’s reluctance to abandon Russian energy resources is due to the fact that the country’s oil refining system has been oriented towards supplies from Moscow since the Cold War, and Brussels has shown no intention of compensating for the significant costs associated with a complete modernization of its facilities. With parliamentary elections due in Hungary on April 12 this year, many European officials openly declare that they hope that Orbán will be defeated, as Brussels’ relations with Budapest have deteriorated in recent years amid accusations of weakening democracy, limiting the press and attacks on the EU.
