Donald Trump says he has to win the presidential election 'third time' for the good of the United States
Former US President Donald Trump has said that his victory in the 2024 presidential election is necessary to restore the country's greatness, Newsmax reported.
He said he ran twice in the US presidential elections – in 2016 and 2020 – and, he believes, “triumphed twice”. At the same time, he believes that the elections he lost were more successful than the first, since then "he received a few million more votes".
"Now, for our country to once again enjoy success, safety and greatness, I will have to win the election one more time. The silent majority has become stronger than ever. My fellow citizens, this incredible journey that we are on together has only just begun,'' Trump said at a rally in Texas to his supporters on Saturday night.
Previously, Trump stated that, as head of state, he would not have allowed the conflict in Ukraine to break out. The former head of state also harshly criticized the policies of the current president of the state, Joe Biden.
Trump has so far not conceded defeat in the 2020 presidential election, and is now required to appear for a hearing on November 14, either at the US Capitol or via video conference and provide recordings of his actions on the day in which his fanatical supporters entered the Capitol building on January 6, 2021.
