US President Joe Biden told the PBS News Hour media agency that Russian President Vladimir Putin has ,,already lost Ukraine’’.
According to the leader of the White House, Russia expected NATO to fall apart, was afraid of the Russian military in Ukraine, and also Putin believed that he could count on the support of Russian-speaking Ukrainians. However, as Biden noted, all of the Kremlin’s predictions have come crashing down.
President Biden added that his previous commitment to support Ukraine as long as necessary is a firm commitment.
On February 2, Putin, during a visit to Volgograd, warned that Russia would not limit itself to using armored vehicles in response to Western threats.
,,We are not sending our tanks to their borders, but we have the means to respond, and everyone must understand that the use of armored vehicles will not end’’, the Russian leader said during a speech at a concert dedicated to the 80th anniversary years since the Battle of Stalingrad.
Putin also feels that Russia is threatened again by German Leopard tanks with crosses on board, but explained that those who draw Germany into a new conflict with Russia and expect to defeat the Kremlin regime ,,don’t understand that the conflict will be completely different’’.
Earlier, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, said that the reward for the destruction of Western tanks will bring more enthusiasm to the Russian army.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said earlier that Kiev would receive between 120 and 140 tanks as part of the ,,first wave’’ of supplies from the West.
