The Moldovan authorities have assessed the chances of a war breaking out in the country

For Moldova, the continuation of the war in Ukraine does not represent a danger. However, Chisinau is facing the risks of a hybrid war, said the Moldovan Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, during a working visit to Berlin between March 27-29 this year.

,,I stated that the Republic of Moldova is not militarily threatened, and the authorities manage to preserve peace and stability, especially thanks to the support provided by external partners’’, the diplomat said in an interview with Reuters and Deutsche Welle news agencies.

In Berlin, Popescu met with the foreign minister of Germany, Annalena Baerbock, as well as with many other German officials. It was discussed about the accession process of the           Republic of Moldova to the European Union, about the progress made by the Moldovan authorities in order to fulfill the recommendations of the European Commission and the transposition of the community acquis into the national legislation and about the issues of cooperation and preparation for the second summit of European Political Community. It will take place in Chisinau on June 1 this year.

The head of Moldovan diplomacy stated that his visit to Germany is a sign of Chisinau’s commitment to a ,,peaceful, stable and prosperous Europe’’.

Earlier, Nikolai Patrushev, the secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, said that Ukraine has become a testing ground for US biological weapons, and states such as Moldova and Georgia are also now in Washington’s sights for the same role.

In addition, he added that there is ,,irrefutable evidence’’ of large-scale biological activities of the United States on the territory of Ukraine, in which ,,American elites’’ are involved.
