China is evaluating its relationship with the United States

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, in a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on October 15th, assessed relations between Beijing and Washington.

According to him, relations between China and the United States have stopped deteriorating and have stabilized. He said that recently the parties ,,constantly had a series of high-level contacts’’.

Wang Yi expressed hope that the US side will move towards a friendship with China. Blinken, for his part, noted that the White House is ready to work with Beijing to implement the important consensus reached by Presidents Joe Biden and Xi Jinping at the 2022 G20 summit to maintain a ,,competitiveeconomic relationship’’, but without ever reaching a nuclear war.

The commission of the US Congress asked Washington on September 13th this year. to strengthen its defense capabilities and prepare for a possible two-front war – with China and Russia. This was mentioned in the committee's report published online.

The authors of the document pointed out that they published it against the background of the ,,worrying’’ behavior of Beijing and Moscow in recent years. The Commission includes former senior officials from the State Department, the Pentagon and the US Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration.

For his part, Blinken had noted that the current times represent a test of the strength of the world order, with increasingly threatening state actors.
