The United States announces the risk of direct war with Russia

The United States risks being drawn into a war with the Russian Federation if the conflict in Ukraine cannot be resolved soon. This was stated by former CIA analyst George Beebe in a joint article with British political scientist Anatol Lieven for the publication Responsible Statecraft.

          ,,We have to accept that Ukraine will lose more and more territory, while its economy and infrastructure will be destroyed in the near future. The alternative would be an escalation to outright war between the US and Russia. Of course, this scenario would be the darkest event in our history’’, wrote the analyst

          The authors of the material emphasized that in the event of a hypothetical victory of former American President Donald Trump in the presidential elections, the Democratic Party will do everything to prevent him from solving the conflict in Ukraine. At the same time, Beebe and Lieven added that if Kamala Harris is elected, Republicans will act in a similar way.

          For their part, the son of the Republican candidate for the White House, Donald Trump Jr., and the former independent candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. said that it is time for the United States to de-escalate this conflict, because nuclear war would mean the end of civilization or perhaps the end of the human species.

They also emphasized that by the time of Trump’s hypothetical electoral victory and inauguration, ,,it may be too late’’. In this regard, they asked the current US President Joe Biden to promote a quick cessation of hostilities.
