Russia has announced its willingness to supply fighter jets to Turkey

According to the RIA Novosti news agency, Iurie Pilipson, the director of the fourth European department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the country is ready to supply military aircraft to Turkey, provided that Ankara has a substantial interest in this matter.

,,If Turkey wants to purchase weapons from us, especially in the field of military aviation, our specialized departments will analyze the received requests’’, the diplomat said, noting that Russian enterprises are able to fully cover the needs of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, Pilipson stated that there are no obstacles and tasks to be solved in the issue of supplying Turkey with the second regiment of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system. ,,We can implement the project without impediments’’, he said, noting that when this issue is handled, ,,informational hygiene is necessary to prevent damage to national interests’’.

Pilipson drew attention to the fact that a number of countries are using more restrictive measures against Russia ,,to eliminate a competitor from the arms market’’.

For his part, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar noted that Ankara is ready to use the Russian S-400 air defense system in the event of an external threat to the country.

At the same time, the private Turkish defense company Baykar said that the Kızılelma jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicles are to be equipped with an active phased array radar.
