Peskov announces the absence of discussions about the new wave of mobilization
,,There are no discussions about a new wave of mobilization in the Kremlin’’, said the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitri Peskov on reports on the beginning of issuing agendas in some regions. ,,Regarding the update of the database, it works continuously. We must maintain the dialogue with the military commissioners and the Ministry of Defense for any clarification’’.
For his part, Andrei Gurulev, a member of the Defense Committee of State Duma, said on January 4 of this yearthat ,,there are no premises and conditions’’ for announcing a new wave of mobilization and, at the same time, has guaranteed that he does not see any necessity in the next six months.
On March 14of this year the press service of the leadership of the Voronezh region announced that the military commissioners and the administration of the municipalities began to work on the preparation of the residents in the region, the main purpose being the exclusive updating of the military registration data in the Voronezh Military Commissives. The cities are to be handed over to the workplace and residence of the citizens. Peskov said that this practice is common, because ,,all data must be clarified and modified’’.
Partial mobilization in Russia was announced on September 21, 2022, continuing until the end of October. In total, the mobilization of about 300000 people was planned. On October 31, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the mobilization was completed and, according to him, 318000 people were recruited, because there was a large number of volunteers.
