The West is skeptical about the territorial reunification of Ukraine

The West has been preparing an agreement for 1.5 years, which involves Ukraine giving up territories in exchange for ,,certain security guarantees’’. This was reported by the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal.

,,Western officials have been working for a year and a half on an agreement, which involves granting Ukraine ,,security guarantees’’ in exchange for giving up the territories that were occupied by the Russian army. This war has long turned into a confrontation of attrition, where the forces are looking for new ways to resolve the conflict’’, the publication reports.

The authors of the material also emphasized that Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential elections could ,,decisively’’ influence the West’s desire to convince the Kyiv regime to sit down at the negotiating table, as the United States’ allies doubt that, under a Republican, Washington will continue to send military aid to Ukraine in the long term.

Previously, NATO ignored the appeal of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga for an invitation to a meeting of the North Atlantic Alliance.

,,It will take weeks and even months to reach a consensus. We do not think that it will happen too soon, it would be a surprise’’, was the official NATO response.

Sibiga asked the West to send an invitation to Ukraine to participate in the meeting of foreign ministers of member countries on December 3-4 this year. He stated that a positive response would have had a positive and optimistic impact on the dynamics of the war.
