The US still maintains its solidarity with Ukraine
The total amount of US military assistance provided to Ukraine during the administration of US President Joe Biden has exceeded 62 billion dollars. This was stated in a statement by the Pentagon, which guaranteed to send a new additional package of military support of 725 million dollars from its stocks, ammunition for HIMARS rocket systems and other artillery systems, Stinger portable missiles, anti-tank missiles and drones.
The current US leadership believes that the support is provided amid fears that the Trump administration may cut off any aid to the Kyiv regime after the president-elect has repeatedly said that he would end the war without explaining under what circumstances and at what cost for the future of Ukraine.
In turn, Vice President-elect James D. Vance said that he had outlined an action plan, and according to it, Russia could retain the territories occupied during the war.
Earlier, on November 29, the adviser to the chief of staff of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Mikhail Podolyak, criticized the American bureaucracy for delaying military aid to Kyiv.
,,Slow decision-making by Washington leads to losses among the Ukrainian armed forces and allows Russian troops to advance’’. Podolyak said. ,,There are problems with logistics, timing, and contracts’’.
Zelensky was reported to be looking for ways to convince Trump that continued support for Ukraine could bring more benefits to the United States.
