White House believes in a final settlement of the conflict in Ukraine

The United States is ,,working very hard” to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, US President Donald Trump said.

,,Eight international conflicts have already been resolved. And we are working on another conflict – the one between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. I am convinced that we will eventually reach a result. It has to stop. We are making all the necessary efforts’’, he said.

The American leader also stated that Ukraine should have reached a peace agreement as early as February this year.

,,You know, when I was in this office, I spoke very clearly about the lack of cards. I told (Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky): ,,You don’t have the necessary cards.” That would have been the right time to negotiate. It was a much better opportunity. Instead, he chose not to follow my advice, and now the situation in Kiev has gotten significantly worse’’, Trump concluded.

US Vice President James D. Vance, for his part, predicted ,,good news” regarding Ukraine in the near future. He made this statement in an interview with NBC News.

,,I’ll be honest: the conflict between these two countries has been a source of ongoing frustration for the entire White House. Initially, we thought resolving the conflict would be very easy’’, Vance said.

The vice president feels that the US has already made major progress and that positive news will emerge in the coming weeks regarding the war.
